So What’s Next? 🤔...

We had a conversation in the clinic the other day that stopped me in my tracks. I was telling a client the story of how Whole Health Solutions and Sports Performance came to be—how Peter and I first had the chance to experiment with building a better version of physical therapy while working in a hospital satellite clinic.

That was our test run. We asked ourselves:

  • Could physical therapy be better for the people receiving care?

  • Could it be better for the therapists delivering it?

  • Could we create a place where people actually enjoyed coming, and felt like they got more out of it than they expected?

That experience became the foundation of Whole Health Solutions. We learned what worked, what didn’t, and used it to shape what we’ve built today.

And when I finished telling that story, my client looked at me and asked: “So what’s next?”

That Question Hit Me Hard 💡

The truth? I didn’t have an answer.

We’ve thought about growth—expansion, adding staff, and offering new services. But this question wasn’t about numbers or square footage. It was deeper than that.

  • How do we make physical therapy even better than it already is?

  • How do we make training and coaching an even more powerful experience?

  • How do we keep improving for both our clients and our staff?

That one simple question opened up a whole new way of thinking.

Why “What’s Next?” Matters 🚀

This isn’t about never being satisfied. It’s about evolution.

When you hit a goal—whether in fitness, rehab, or life—you’ve got two options:

  1. ✅ Stop there and settle.

  2. 🔄 Ask, so what’s next?

Option #2 is what keeps things interesting. It’s what pushes you to grow. It’s what helps you level up from “good enough” to “better every day.”

And that’s the same mindset we try to encourage in our clients. Whether you’re rehabbing an injury, training for your sport, or just trying to feel stronger and healthier—when you get where you wanted to go, don’t stop there. Keep asking yourself the question.

Our clients inspire us daily with their own drive to keep going. This question—“so what’s next?”—applies as much to your journey as it does to ours as a business.

The pursuit doesn’t have to end. Growth doesn’t have to stop. The next step doesn’t have to be bigger, but it should always be intentional.

That client reminded me that the beauty of this work—whether in physical therapy, performance training, or life in general—is that there’s always another step forward if you want it.
